Kansas Catholic Bishops to Host Statewide Rally for Religious Freedom

May 15, 2012

What:  Statewide Rally for Religious Freedom

When:  2:00 – 3:30 PM, 29 June 2012

Where:  South Steps of the State Capitol Building in Topeka

Who:  The Catholic Bishops of Kansas are inviting all people who care about religious liberty to attend.

Why:  The federal government has taken the unprecedented step of requiring religious individuals and institutions to pay for products and procedures that violate their religious beliefs.  Catholic schools, hospitals, and charities are not exempt — they will either have to provide their employees with coverage of immoral products, including abortion-inducing drugs, or they may have to shut down.  Our country’s 200 year tradition of religious freedom hangs in the balance.  Join people of faith across the nation who will be rallying for religious freedom

How:  Save the Date.  Drive the family.  Carpool with friends.  Bus your parish.  Visit the Kansas Catholic Conference website for more details as they become available.
