US House Votes to Repeal New Health Care Law

Wednesday, the US House voted 245-189 to repeal the new health care law passed by Congress and signed by President Obama last spring.  Despite their decades-long call for reform of America’s health care system, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops ultimately opposed passage of the final bill because it contained unacceptable provisions involving federal subsidization of abortion.
